E-Senza Technologies GmbH, leading povider of wireless device networks, and Jacob electronic measuring devices and controls, provider of high-grade sensors, measuring devices and controls, announce their partnership to market a jointly developed line of industrial sensors. Both partners have worked together since early 2007 in a co-operation which now enables Jacob to extend it's existing product line of temperature, pressure and level-sensors with intelligent devices delivering a clear benefit the end-customer. Employing E-Senza's SenzaNET technology, complete wireless sensor networks are now possible, which can be controlled from a single remote location. E-Senza's end-to-end solutions perfectly fit to Jacob's portfolio, since flexible and open interfaces are included. "We truly got a competitive advantage in our market" comments Jocobs' CEO Michael Pietsch. And this is how it works: Data transmission is done by "SenzaBlock" modules, which are integrated into Jacobs' sensors and send their data wirelessly to a central network coordinator and gateway, SenzaGate, which forwards the data via Ethernet, GPRS or another interface of choice to the webbased SenzaWMS software. From here, every individual sensor can be controlled and monitored over the Internet. One of the advantages of the new solution is that is dramatically reduces the costs for installation and maintenance of sensors as no cables are required anymore. “With Jacob we found a strong and innovative player in the sensor- and measurement markets“, says Amit Shah, CEO E-Senza Technologies GmbH.
